The Irish horse riding trainer Dawn Ward combined her passion for equestrian sports with her drive to give back to the community and hence was recognized as one of the most elite equestrian instructors. However, on Saturday 22nd April, the 51-year-old left the world for her heavenly abode after battling cancer for a long time. Following her untimely demise, many from the equestrian fraternity came forward to pay their sincere respects to Ward.
Dawn Ward was a stewardess, and trainer at Wexford Equestrian Centre in Ireland. With her valuable counsel and staunch methodologies, she trained a multitude of steeds and jockeys. Nonetheless, she was “an inspiring instructor”, and the “kindest soul”, as described by the owners of Wexford Arena. Now, as the Irish trainer died peacefully at home surrounded by her friends and family, fans and equestrian enthusiasts paid their heartfelt tributes to the Wexford stewardess.

On 24th April 2023, the Independent shared the saddening news of Ward’s demise through its Facebook handle. Captioning the post, the media house penned, “May she rest in peace”. Following this, many flocked to the comment section to express their heartfelt tributes to the instructor. Fans wrote…
“oh this is absolutely heart breaking news, my deepest condolences to Dawn’s parents, Dawn was 16 when I had the pleasure of meeting her and myself my sister and my husband had a very strong friendship with Mary, Ken and all the family. Dawn you will always hold a very special place in my heart”

Tributes like, “Condolences to all Dawn’s family and friends may she rest in enteral peace”, “Condolences to her family and friends Rip Dawn”, and “My sympathies to all of Dawn’s family, and friends. May Dawn rest in peace” brimmed the comment section to the hilt.

Ward’s family expressed their heartbreak and said, “Our warrior Dawn is finally at peace. Her passing will leave a huge void in all our lives that can never be replaced but her cherished memory will live forever in our hearts”. She indeed touched the hearts of many through her unfeigned contribution to the community. Her funeral services were performed at St. Mary’s church, Ballymore, on Tuesday morning, in the presence of her friends, family, and other equestrian acquaintances.
