The Aiken County Planning Commission’s resounding approval of Phase 4 plans for the Bridle Creek Equestrian Community has sparked excitement and anticipation among enthusiasts. According to Aiken Standard, this phase, which encompasses 208.2 acres in the picturesque Clear Creek Court area, offers an exceptional opportunity for growth, with 22 exclusive lots just waiting to be developed. Lots in Phase 4 are expected to range from $150,000 to $300,000, offering a range of options to suit various budgets.

Joel Duke who is the chief development officer for Aiken County said, “Planning and Development Department’s staff believes the amended RRC classification may be appropriate for other rural communities in the county that remain rural, but where the community is seeking basic land use management tools”.  The project is being led by Bridle Creek at Three Runs LLC, a company renowned for developing havens, with the assistance of HB Engineering Inc.

Responding to the Windsor area residents’ request for an alternative to Rural Development (RUD), the commission aims to balance responsible land use management with the preservation of the community’s rural character. Alongside the approval of Phase 4, the Aiken County Planning Commission’s unanimous recommendation for revisions to the Residential Rural Commercial (RRC) zoning classification marks a significant milestone. This decision holds promise for Bridle Creek and other rural communities seeking thoughtful and sustainable development.
