The ongoing Israel-Palestine Conflict 2023 began on September 7th after a Hamas rocket attack on major Israeli cities. It has led to significant concerns worldwide. Israel responded with airstrikes on Gaza, implementing a complete siege on the already blockaded Gaza Strip, depriving its two million residents of essential supplies. These Israeli airstrikes have caused the deaths of numerous children. The total blockade exacerbates the situation, cutting off electricity, gas, food, and water to Gaza.
Several celebrities such as Kehlani, Zara Larsson, Bella Hadid, Dua Lipa, and Zayn Malik, expressed their support for Palestine during the Israel-Palestine conflict. However, on Saturday, Jennifer Gates’ husband, an Olympic equestrian, took to Instagram to share a different perspective on the Israel-Palestine war.

On September 14th, Nayel Nassar shared a post of a New York Times opinion on ?Instagram, which was captioned as, “If we owe a moral responsibility to Israeli children, then we owe the same moral responsibility to Palestinian children. Their lives have equal weight If you care about human life only in Israel or only in Gaza, then you don’t actually care about human life.”
In response, Nayel Nassar replied to this on his own Instagram story, captioning it,? All lives are equal have friends who have tragically suffered on both sides. But a terrible act of violence by one radically Islamist group does NOT justify retaliation in this proportion against other civilians can’t wipe out an entire people You just can’t.?

From the post, it’s clear that he means to say that despite the fact that Hamas attacked Israel, it doesn’t justify subjecting all of Palestine’s people to the same consequences. Instead, he emphasizes the importance of Israel considering the humanitarian impact of its actions, particularly in densely populated Gaza. After the complete siege faced by children in Gaza, which includes issues related to clean water, sanitation, and exposure to extreme weather, negatively affecting their physical and mental health.
The complete blockade exacerbates food insecurity, leading children to engage in risky activities to secure food or money. Insufficient access to clean water and sanitation facilities has resulted in diseases like flu and typhoid among children, and frequent electricity shortages further expose them to extreme temperatures. Apart from all this Nayel Nassar, is a successful Egyptian-American equestrian with a strong philanthropic commitment.
Equestrian success
Nayel Nassar is an Egyptian-American professional equestrian who began riding at age five. He’s had a successful career, competing at the highest levels, including the FEI Show Jumping World Cup Finals and the FEI World Equestrian Games.
