On Monday, the equestrian community lost another legendary horse. The beloved horse “Tom’s Ready” passed away for unknown circumstances. The cherished equine was GMB Racing’s first buy from Old Friends Farm. The horse was sold to GMB Racing, where he spent his last days.
Old Friends is a farm that shelters many retired horses and provides numerous grade-stakes winners to the equestrian community. One of the top horses in the community, “Broad Brush” and “Goodbye Stranger”‘s sire, won many graded stakes races himself. Even though he was among history’s finest, he retired at an early age and has now passed away, shocking his many followers.

GMB Racing didn’t specify what happened to the horse in the post, so the equestrian world is left with many unanswered concerns. Trainer Dallas Stewart, who has made over $62 million in his career, is responsible for the success of the legendary horse. Based on his lifetime earnings, he is rated 47th among the top 100 trainers based on career earnings in 2022.

With over 6900 starts off, of which his horses earned 966 firsts, 965 seconds, and 900 thirds, the veteran trainer of the legendary horse trained him to perfection, which led him to create a great track record. In 2017, when Tom’s Ready was considered a valuable asset with three wins in the graded stakes and being a millionaire, he retired to be on stud duty at B.Wayne Hughes’ Spendthrift Farm in Lexington,KY. At the 2018 stands and nurses, he stood for 6,000 dollars.
He followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming a multiple-graded stakes winner. Earning over $1,000,000 during the course of his career. Over the course of 21 races, he racked up five victories, four seconds, and three thirds. His consistently strong performance also ensured that every other start he made landed him in the top twelve. The veteran also placed 62nd on the 2016 Top 100 list based on career earnings. He had also competed in the Breeders Cup, where he placed fifth.
The death of a well-known equine has devastated the equestrian community.
The 2013 horse saw significant action in the years 2015–2017. His early retirement in 2017 at the age of 3 years and his unexpected death at the age of 10 shocked the whole community. GMB Racing posted the terrible news. Many of his devoted followers sent touching and heartbreaking comments on the page.
One fan wrote with collective sympathy from the community and wished for him to run free
