The coordination between the rider and the horse makes equestrian a beautiful sport. However, the sync can go unexpectedly wrong sometimes inviting staggering mishaps. It has led to the demise of many horses and riders in the past. Last week, a reputed farmhouse in Venice reported about a 15-year-old’s tragic death while horse riding. Days after the shocking news, the equestrian world was left speechless hearing the loss of another rider who was a former Miss Universe Australia Finalist.
On May 6, the news website, The Western Journal reported about the 23-year-old model and pageant participant Sienna Weir’s tragic death while show jumping. In a week, the repeated death news of riders left fans mourning the loss.

How did the young horse rider die?
Recently, The Western Journal shared the report on model Sienna Weir’s death on its Facebook page. It revealed that after being on life support for a month, the talented equestrian breathed her last on Thursday.

Last month, on April 2, the Australian model was horse riding at the Windsor Polo Grounds in Richmond, New South Wales, when she suddenly fell from her horse. Sienna Weir’s tragic fall caused her unimaginable injuries due to which she was rushed to Westmead Hospital. However, sadly, she could not be saved after battling her injuries for a month.
In one of her September interviews with Gold Coast magazine, the 23-year-old had expressed her love for show jumping. The model revealed that although she grew up in city life, she loved horse riding. In fact, Weir was horse riding since age three and often visited rural Sydney to practice.

However, no one knew that Sienna Weir would have to lose her life while doing something she loved so much. Nevertheless, the equestrian world was shocked at the tragic news. Many mourned the loss of the model on The Western Journal’s Facebook page.

Netizens express condolences for Sienna Weir’s innocent life
The 23-year-old’s death was a loss caused too soon. Hence, netizens felt for the model’s family and expressed, “So sad and tragic! Prayers for family”. Others also mentioned the model’s beauty and wrote that it was an unexpected loss, “So sad rip beautiful girl condolences to her family and friends” Nevertheless, a netizen wished for her peaceful journey in heaven, “Tragic. Condolences and Gods Blessings!”
Lastly, a fan disgruntled at the repeated loss of lives in equestrianism, “Way too many sudden deaths of seemingly healthy young adults! 😞” another user wrote, “Another suddenly.” Readers would be shocked to know that every year, the rate of equestrian deaths is close to 710, according to Horses Only.
