The 2023 FEI North American Championships (NAYC) have come to an end. Moreover, young equestrian talents from the United States, Carlee McCutcheon, and Baylee McKeever, were able to secure a gold medal on the final day of the event. The six-day event filled with thrills began on August 8 and came to an end on August 13. However, apart from the wins the event also highlighted the host of the event, Flintfields Horse Park.

Located in the pristine city of Traverse City surrounded by Lake Michigan, the Flintfield Horse Park has yet again outdone itself. As the popular venue of the park Traverse City Horse Shows hosted the event. Amid this staunch success, the FEI North American Championships have released an exciting update for the next two years of the event.

On August 17, the Flintfields Horse Park, located in Traverse City, announced it would host the next FEI North American Championship. According to U.S. Equestrian, the event that will host the dressage and jumping disciplines will be held at the Traverse City Horse Shows. The popular equestrian park will also be hosting the 2025 FEI North American youth championships. The Traverse City horse show has played a huge role in getting the park recognition. As the show has held many summer competitions and entertainment for horse lovers.

The equestrian park has been hosting the NAYC events for the past three years. While highlighting the significance of the NAYC event being held in the city, Matthew Morrisey stated “Hosting NAYC is not just an event for the Transverse City Horse Show; it’s a commitment to the future of equestrian sport.” Morrissey added that the show’s main focus is on the athletes. As they want to provide them with an experience that will help them reach their dreams in equestrian.

The North American Youth Championships is a platform that provides opportunities for young equestrian talents. And according to the US equestrian chief executive officer, Bill Moroney, the event, due to its ability to attract young athletes to participate as a team and solo, plays an important role in the development of the equestrian for the future. The 2024 event will be held from July 30 to August 4, while applications will be open from the beginning of the new year in January.

In essence, NAYC has become an integral part of US equestrian, as luxurious equestrian venues like Traverse Horse Show maintain the quality of the event. Hopefully, the management of the park will continue to maintain the zeal of the young athletes in the next two years of the event.
