In the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, we don’t often see a star willing to walk away from it all. However, contrary to popular belief, one Hollywood star has made a major sacrifice and set aside his career in order to support the dreams and aspirations of his loved ones.

Mark Wahlberg has been a part of some iconic movies that earned him 2 Oscar nominations and 3 Golden Globe nominations till now. Known for his charisma, the actor has multiple feathers in his cap. More recently, though Mark has turned his attention towards fitness and even owns a sports utility gear brand called Municipal. Now, after decades in Hollywood, the actor moved to Las Vegas, in order to enable his kids to pursue their respective career choices. The actor recently took to Instagram to share an update about her daughter’s budding equestrian career.

Mark Wahlberg is a proud father

The actor posted a picture of his 13-year-old equestrian daughter Grace Wahlberg on Instagram recently. The post captioned, “so proud of you my girl” shows the teenager smiling gracefully while she rides her horse. Grace has secured a number of pole position finishes already in her incredibly young career.

Mark Wahlberg maintains that Grace’s next goal is to become a Grand Prix Jumper, but she will have to train for that. While speaking to People, Mark mentioned that among his 4 kids, his 13-year-old teenage daughter Grace is the most like him. The proud father believes that his daughter shares the same work ethic as him, and if it’s the same as his 4 a.m. club, that would be extremely hard.

Wahlberg, now 52, moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas so that his equestrian daughter can focus more on the sport. Mark’s fans were super happy for the father-daughter duo and had some encouraging things to say.

A fan had some kind words for the duo

A user congratulated the duo and commented, “A lot of time and skill she has put in to achieve these goals!!!!! Not easy to get there in any sport, let alone one you are working with an animal that as their own will and heart.”  By stepping away from the limelight, the actor has set another example for his kids.
