Saratoga Springs is all abuzz, as the equestrian world braces itself for a stunning showdown at Grade 1, $1.25 million Travers Stakes. Among the star-studded contenders, the spotlight shines brightly on Mage, the awe-inspiring Kentucky Derby winner, as he gallops into the heart of the action.

The horse’s first workout over Saratoga’s main track left its trainer, Gustavo Delgado, impressed. He is eager to share candid insights on Mage’s form and focus. As the date for the prestigious equestrian competition draws near, spectators are on the edge of their seats. A Stellar Display of Form and Focus in Equestrian World

In preparation for the 26th August Race, 3-year-old Mage showcased his prowess during a recent workout on Saratoga’s main track. Despite the workout being delayed by a day due to wet track conditions, Mage breezed through five furlongs in 1:01.08 with remarkable ease & focus. According to DRF News, Trainer said, “I’m very happy because my rider said no complaints, very focused, very easy, in his hands all the time.”

Furthermore, as Delgado expressed his satisfaction with Mage’s performance, fans eagerly await the upcoming event. Here along with Mage, a host of talented contenders, aims to etch their names in racing history. Covering his opening quarter in 24.56 seconds, followed by three furlongs in 36.58 seconds, Mage’s last quarter was equally remarkable. It was clocking in at 24.50 seconds without any encouragement. The horse’s exceptional performance continued as he galloped out six furlongs in 1:14.51, seven furlongs in 1:27.41, and an impressive mile in 1:41.23.

An Eagerly Awaited Showdown

As the Travers Stakes approaches, racing enthusiasts eagerly await the grand spectacle. Mage, under the capable guidance of trainer Gustavo Delgado, seeks to build on his past successes, including an impressive second-place finish in the Grade 1 Haskell. With the support of jockey J.J. Delgado, Mage’s regular exercise rider, the team is gearing up for a challenge.
