In preparation for the 26th August Race, 3-year-old Mage showcased his prowess during a recent workout on Saratoga’s main track. Despite the workout being delayed by a day due to wet track conditions, Mage breezed through five furlongs in 1:01.08 with remarkable ease & focus. According to DRF News, Trainer said, “I’m very happy because my rider said no complaints, very focused, very easy, in his hands all the time.”
Furthermore, as Delgado expressed his satisfaction with Mage’s performance, fans eagerly await the upcoming event. Here along with Mage, a host of talented contenders, aims to etch their names in racing history. Covering his opening quarter in 24.56 seconds, followed by three furlongs in 36.58 seconds, Mage’s last quarter was equally remarkable. It was clocking in at 24.50 seconds without any encouragement. The horse’s exceptional performance continued as he galloped out six furlongs in 1:14.51, seven furlongs in 1:27.41, and an impressive mile in 1:41.23.
