Equestrians, riders in particular share a special bond with horses. One can ride hundreds of horses but there are a few that stick out and become one’s favourite. In a similar incident, an Olympic equestrian champion rider seems to have gotten her new favorite horse.

Charlotte Dujardin is undoubtedly one of Britain’s most accomplished Dressage riders. An icon in the international dressage community, she holds several accolades to her name including Olympic medals. In her latest update, the Olympic Champion has added a few horses to her favorites list and penned a heartfelt note for them.

Charlotte Dujardin heaps praise on her beloved horses

While Charlotte Dujardin has ridden hundreds of horses in her dressage career, some horses have taken up a special place in her heart. One of these horses is a 9-year-old mare, which she had bought when the equine was just 4 years old. After loving, caring, and training her for 5 years, the mare has finally reaped rewards for Dujardin.


The 38-year-old took to Instagram to announce her jubilation over the equine?s stellar performance at the Grand Prix. The 9-year-old mare is named Alive and Kicking, and Dujardin lovingly calls her Audrey at home. ?I bought this mare as a four-year-old and to do her first GP at just nine years old and gain a huge 79% makes me more proud than you can imagine.?, Dujardin wrote.

Additionally, the Olympic Gold medalist also heaped praises on another of her beloved horses, Vida Loca. Dujardin announced that the equine had taken his first elementary test and achieved 75%. “What a little superstar he is and the sweetest horse too“, she added. In addition to her equestrian journey, Dujardin is quite active in other fields as well, particularly in giving back to the community.

Dujardin’s Masterclass venture for equestrian community

Charlotte Dujardin is a 3x Olympian champion. She has achieved so much in her decade-long equestrian career and is now giving back to the horse racing community. The 38-year-old recently started her new venture. The program is designed to teach and train equestrian enthusiasts.

The Levels Masterclass is Dujardin’s attempt to give back to the community and share her learnings and experience.
