An article by Kildare Nationalist from October 27 has revealed that the 200-year-old Waterloo House in Mallow, Co Cork has hit the market for €2 million. The estate comes with equestrian facilities as well as a Gothic lodge. According to the article, the main attraction of the property is its “six-bed Georgian country home with 619 square metres of living space dating back to circa 1815.

The estate is spread over 52 acres and includes a “68 square metre gate lodge with its castellated turret, as well as a self-contained apartment measuring about 51 square metres.” The lodge has an open area that’s shared as the living-room-cum-dining-room-cum-kitchen, and a shower room. The two rooms on the floor above are connected via a spiral staircase, enhancing the attraction of the building.
