Jennifer Gates might not go to Paris, but she is all smiles for her husband. Gates’ love for horses is well known as she was initially impressed by the majestic creatures as early as when she was a wee lass. Since then, Bill Gates’ daughter has taken pony lessons and is now a professional equestrian. Throughout her career, Jennifer has picked up several victories and has owned horses like Pepperpot, Capital Colnardo, and Alex.

However, even after achieving quite a great deal in the sport, Jennifer has one major dream- to qualify for the Olympics. Unfortunately, this year at Paris, Jennifer has failed to qualify to represent Team USA. But her hype about Paris has not died just yet. The reason is her husband, Nayel Nassar, still has the chance to qualify for Paris.

Coming back to Jennifer Gates’ dreams of making it to the Olympics, she seemed to be really invested. In fact, Jennifer boasted of having Bardolino as her horse. For the uninitiated, Bardolino made his debut run at the Rio Olympics in 2016 and was thus an excellent bet for Gates. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out and the Olympic dream of Jennifer will remain elusive as of now. But the same cannot be said about her husband, Nayel Nassar.

Nayel Nassar is a 2x Olympian, having qualified for the 2012 and 2020 Olympics respectively. But his hunger does not seem to have satiated yet. Competing at the Spruce Meadows in Canada recently, Nassar won every possible race, eliminating his rivals. On his first outing, Nassar rode with Linguini to win the CSI5 1.45m ATCO Cup. Next up, the Egyptian clinched the pole position in the 1.40m Maritime Travel Cup with Donvier.

But that was not all. Appearing in a third race riding with Esi Ali, Nayel Nassar completed a perfect outing as he also topped the CSI5 1.50m Capital Markets Cup. Such a sublime performance has left his chances of qualifying for Paris wide open. Recent updates have also stated that Egypt will get one individual event slot. Thus, riding on the back of his incredible performance and Jennifer’s best wishes, a glorious evening in Paris is not looking afar for Nayel Nassar.
