Horse riding is an extremely popular hobby and a much-loved sport that is enjoyed by many around the world. From thrilling rides to an unabating surge of excitement, the equitation arena has covered it all. However, the excitement remains until the dangers of horseback riding become apparent. Likewise, in 2021, American singer and songwriter, Ashley McBryde fell prey to a vicious equitation mishap and ended up getting hurt brutally.
In September 2021, the 39-year-old country music artist fell off a mare while riding on horseback at a ranch in Montana. Following the accident, the singer was rendered in concussion and was immediately taken to hospital for further medical treatment. Though she recovered with the proper medical aid, the accident took a major toll on her physical strength.

In 2022, McBryde appeared in an interview with CBS Mornings, where she shared various nooks and crannies of her equitation mishap. While describing her injuries, the singer stated, “it was pretty bad”. When asked by the host about the measures taken to treat her concussion, McBryde added, “we didn’t even know the extent of my injuries until all the imaging came back a little while later…life-saving measures were taken”.
McBryde then expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards those who helped her by giving resuscitation following her accident. “The people that were there and helped save my life. To look at them and really just know that they put breath into my lungs for me so that I would live….And to be able to look at them and say thank you for saving my life”, added the 39-year-old. Though McBryde suffered some ferocious lacerations, she went back to her musical tour just six days after the incident. She conceded, “it was about six days and I was like I’m doing it”.

She further gave away several tidbits about her accident and revealed that while riding on the mare named Jenny, she fell off the steed and was rendered in utter pain. However, as per the country music artist, it was not Jenny’s fault. Nevertheless, following the accident, she penned a note and shared it through her Instagram handle to let her fandom know about the incident. As per her social media, she and the horse made their way across the bridges and through waters before the mare got “spooked” and the singer fell right off the steed. More so, after two years of the horrifying accident, the singer is now planning to get back to her beloved equestrian field.
