The London International Horse Show kicked off ceremoniously at ExCeL London from 13 to 18 December, marking a notable event in the royal calendar. For Charlotte Dujardin, a 3x Olympic gold medalist and renowned equestrian, this was the day of great pomp and circumstance that brought excitement as she rode her horse Pete at the picturesque and made waves with her great scores on her first indoor show.
Sh was not able to participate last year due to pregnancy. However, the legendary old dressage rider has showcased her biggest comeback to the international stage after several months. However, what stole the show’s charm was her four-legged awesome stallion, Pete. Along similar lines, a new social media update showcasing Pete, her stallion that she rendered due diligence to, broke the internet.

A new social Instagram post has a lot to say. “Official FEI,” took to their Instagram handle and added a new post. Captioned as, “I am so proud of Pete. He has never experienced anything like this. To go in that arena and do what he did, I am just incredibly proud!”.

For the second consecutive night at the London International Horse Show, Charlotte Dujardin claimed the leading position in the freestyle dressage competition on the evening of December 14. Guiding the vibrant 10-year-old Imhotep, affectionately known as Pete, owned by Carl Hester and Coral Ingham, Charlotte impressed the judges and secured an impressive score of 89.465% with a medley from the movie Madagascar.
Triumph amidst motherhood
Her achievements speak volumes. After a recent victory, an excited Dujardin shared with BBC Sport, “I haven’t done anything competition-wise for eight months, and I’ve only been back on board for three weeks.” Charlotte expressed her joy on Instagram, celebrating her win with Pete at 77.26% previously.

Returning to the international stage, Dujardin and Imhotep delivered a stellar performance in the four-star grand prix at Windsor. She emphasized her commitment to fitness, targeting the European Championships with Imhotep.
As a decorated athlete, Dujardin shares Olympic medal records with Dame Laura Kenny and holds the distinction of being the first British woman to retain an individual Olympic title. Now, as a mother, her victories hold special meaning, offering valuable maxims and adages for her children.
