The news was reported by Horse & Hound, Harlow White, an 11-year-old equestrian, appeared in her first season of showing at the 2023 Royal International Horse Show (RIHS). She performed brilliantly at the affiliated level and left everyone in awe of her talent in the BSPS RIHS mini M&M supreme championship. Her nine-year-old pony, Coppinshill Commemoration (Rolo), was locking horns with Finlay Clay and Heather Clay’s Dartmoor Springwater Tactician in the 29-strong first-ridden field and beat them to claim the win.

The win came as a surprise for both White and her mother, Chelsea White, and even the producer of Coppinshill Commemoration (Rolo) could not believe it. White has been on her showing journey since April this year and she had never participated in events like this before. Talking about the pony and her white coat, her mother said she bought Rolo when they went to the Horse Of The Year Show last year.

Talking about her spectacular performance White stated, “ I will never forget this moment. Rolo is such a chilled out dude and he’s very calm, though he does have his spicy moments. At home I do a bit of everything with him. As it’s my first time riding at the RI, I just wanted to get round the ring and do my best. I didn’t even mind if I didn’t get a rosette!” Both mother and daughter are having the time of their lives at this event.
