Frankie Dettori has been riding horses professionally for more than 30 years now. He boasts of 23 British Classic Race victories in addition to having propelled more than 280 horses to Grade 1 wins in his career. So, there isn’t a better person to comment on what it feels like to be on a horse than Dettori.

While Dettori triumphed at Santa Anita Park, he recorded an FPV video of his ride and shared it on Twitter. Captioning the post, Dettori wrote, “Not going to lie, that one felt really good.” One gets absolute goosebumps watching the video, and Dettori surely got a hundred times more while riding.

In the video, Dettori is on his horse, and so are other jockeys. As the race starts, the 52-year-old remains initially behind. He screams out loud, probably in anger or could even be in excitement. He rides in-between horses for most of the part and then speeds up immensely after the last turn, eventually winning it in the dying seconds. With this victory, Dettori also got a special invitation from John Gosden.
