While Frankie Dettori has retired from horse racing, horses ridden by him continue to break records. The British Flat Racing Champion bid farewell to this beautiful sport after completing his farewell tour in May 2023. During the farewell tour, Dettori rode a special horse, which now has shattered records at Dewhurst stakes.

Chaldean accompanied the British Veteran in his final start at the season’s first Classic back in May 2023. The duo went on to win the 2,000 Guineas, marking Dettori’s fourth Guineas success. And now, Chaldean has broken the ‘fastest’ records in a competitive Group 1 event.

Chaldean shatters record at Dewhurst Stakes

Chaldean is a renowned 3-year-old colt trained by A M Balding. After getting the honor of being ridden by legendary jockey Frankie Dettori, the Frankel-bred has now shattered records at the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes. He recorded a time of 1:22:45, the 2nd fastest in DS history.

The TDN announced Chaldean’s astonishing achievement on Twitter. “1:22:45. 2nd fastest time ever in the G1 Dewhurst Stakes…Faster than his own sire Frankel”, the post read. With this mammoth achievement, the 3-year-old colt has now overtaken one of his sire Frankel as well.

In addition to Frankel, Chaldean overtook several other renowned horses on the list. Some of those include Shamardal, City of Troy, Churchill, and Teofilo. Dettori would surely be proud of Chaldean while he enjoys his time after an early exit from I’m a Celebrity.

Frankie Dettori flaunts picture-perfect day

After Frankie Dettori hung up his boots, he soon jumped on to explore other realms of life. He made a late entry in the Australian TV show I’m a Celebrity and was a treat to watch. However, he unfortunately made an early exit this Sunday but is now enjoying his time.

Dettori posted a couple of pictures where he could be seen enjoying his time. After expressing the desire to have a good meal earlier, Dettori posted a picture of a delicious meal on Twitter. Soon after, he posted another picture, chilling with his wife in a pool. While he may not have had the best of times on the show, he is making sure to enjoy the rest.
