Especially when the subject matter is equestrian sports such as show jumping; keeping one’s balance on a moving horse is what can make or break the rider. Recently, a video going viral on social media shows an equestrian displaying her astonishing skills.

The horse rider, during a show jumping event, almost fell off her mount. However, with her presence of mind and quick action, she was able to stabilize herself. The extraordinary show of skills surprised her viewers, and they couldn’t help but express their awe by commenting on the video.

Equestrian confounds her audience with her skills

The video was posted by Eva Ursin, an avid horse rider who regularly takes part in equestrian competitions such as free jumping. In the clip, she was riding her horse, Jill, a brown-colored beauty. It was this moment when Eva Ursin was almost completely dislodged from the back of her horse, while jumping over an obstacle. Her instincts need to be appreciated, as she immediately clung to her horse’s neck in a bid to maintain her equilibrium on horseback.

The result was that Eva saved herself and her equine friend from probably what would have been gruesome injuries. This is not a surprise as Eva Ursin has ridden horses throughout her life, and hence, must be privy to some unique tips and tricks. According to the official website of Pro Horse International, an organization which was founded by Ursin’s fiancé, while Eva studies economics, she chose to be a riding teacher after she passed out of college. Her passion for equestrian sports ensured that she was able to win a scholarship to Ridskolan Strömsholm, a riding school that is run by Sweden’s best trainer, Sylve Søderstrand.

Here, she worked on improving her horse riding skills for an entire year. The result of this distinguished training coupled with her talent, resulted in Eva Ursin successfully competing at the Grand Prix level. Looking at her experience with horse riding, it is not that astonishing that Ursin was able to carry herself with such finesse in the arena. However, she did manage to completely stun her viewers.

The momentary stumble that Eva had on her horse was a lesson to the masses that even the best of riders can make mistakes.
