The equestrian community has been enjoying a whole range of events since November. While the recent Jumping World Cup concluded after the prestigious Breeders’ Cup, the fans are now relishing the profusion of talent and visual phantasmagoria FEI Dressage World Cup. Interestingly, the thrilling event has already entertained spectators with five events.

The 2023-24 iteration of the FEI Dressage World Cup is seeing immense competition from around the globe. But, the competitors have to shift their gears as just six more events remain in the World Cup. As the tournament has reached its midpoint, the rankings of the event have arrived. Is your favorite equestrian-equine duo on the top ten list?

FEI TV took to Instagram and uploaded a post disclosing the standings of the FEI Dressage World Cup 2023-24. The ranks 6-10 were filled by, “6. Matthias Alexander Rath (GER) 37 points. 7. Nicolas Wagner Ehlinger (RUS) 34 points. 8. Diana Porsche (LVA) 31 points. 9. Katharina Haas (LVA) 26 points. 10. Antonia von Dungeren (GER) 25 points.” These equestrian dressage competitors have just a few more chances to climb higher.

The top five rankers are, “1. Patrik Kittel (SWE) 68 points. 2. Morgan Barbancon (FRA) 56 points. 3. Nanna Skodborg Merrald (CH) 51 points. 4. Alexandre Ayache (FRA) 39 points. 4. Raphael Netz (GER) 39 points.” Patrik Kittel of Sweden is currently in the lead and has an advantage of 12 points. In fact, the 47-year-old was on a roll in October as well.

Patrik Kittel leads rankings after acing Denmark event

The FEI Dressage World Cup 2023/2024 Western European League series in Herning, Denmark, saw Patrik Kittel come back in top form. The 47-year-old stunned everyone with his elegant performances and dominated the tournament. The Swedish equestrian forced his Danish counterparts to settle for minor ranks.

Speaking about the equestrian event, Patrik Kittel said, “It’s difficult to put in words what a cool experience it was today… “The last time I won (a qualifier) was in 2017 and I think that was the last time I was really emotional when they played the national anthem!” The Swedish dressage specialist participated in the event with his 11-year-old gelding, Touchdown.

He also added, “I knew all the (Danish) girls and Andreas would be really fighting to get up there and I tried to put that all behind me and go in and my horse just went unbelievably.” Kitten is going with the same flair in December as well.
