The 5th leg of the FEI Dressage World Cup was a sight to behold. With majestic horses from across the world putting up enticing performances, the London International Horse Show made sure the attendees got their money’s worth. While a star-studded line-up promised an exhilarating night, it was ultimately the domestic celebrities who triumphed on the podium.

There was more than one celebrity equestrian on the bill, but it was Charlotte (Lottie) Fry and Charlotte Dujardin under the limelight at the London International House Show. Fry and Dujardin are among the most coveted names in the horse riding scene, and they once again proved their worth at the high-stakes FEI Dressage World Cup.

While Dujardin and her ten-year-old companion Imhotep have wowed fans on numerous occasions before, the duo once again enthralled the attendees with their freestyle number to a medley from the popular animated movie Madagascar. Brimming with character and expression, Imhotep made the fans swoon with graceful ease. The exploits of the British equestrians were hailed by a post on Instagram by FEI’s official account. “Brilliant Brits sweep the board!“, reads the post, and rightfully so!

It was another Britisher to follow up on Dujardin and Imhotep’s sensational performance. Fellow English equestrian Becky Moody, winner of the Grand Prix, blitzed onto the podium after a stunning performance along with her 9-year-old Jagerbomb. Moody scored a personal best with 83.675% and sealed her place on the podium as well. With two partnerships remaining, Moody is close on the tails of Dujardin, increasing the pressure meter.

Along with Dujardin, Charlotte Fry was also one of the winners of the last two London Freestyle. While Dujardin and Imhotep took the leading spot with 89.465%, Fry and her trusted Everdale weren’t far behind. With Imhotep’s son Everdale once again living up the expectations, Fry is now firmly in second place with the halfway to the Road to Riyadh approaching.
