Equestrian sports are growing each day, becoming the cynosure of all eyes, with talented bankable horses burgeoning. With the rising number of events, riders, and fans, the demand for horses is ever-increasing. Each year, hundreds of trained equines are auctioned, with some even fetching up to millions of dollars.

November Breeding Stock Sale was recently concluded at the Goffs auction house in Ireland. A 3-year-old horse, already a reputed name in the equestrian community, was sold for a whopping amount, synonymous with his stature, power and alacrity in the equestrian realm.

Irish horse fetches big money

With equestrian sport touching new heights each day, the demand for talented horses is increasing each day. Horse auctions are looked forward to each year, and several equines fetch up to millions. Recently, a renowned horse who has already made his debut was auctioned in Ireland.

The TDN announced the sale of Humankind on Twitter at the Goffs, which is Ireland?s top Thoroughbred Auction house. ?Humankind sells for ?440,000 ($481,000) @Goffs1866 November Breeding Stock Sale. Part of the Niarchos draft this daughter of Frankel is from the family of the great Miesque?, the TDN wrote. Humankind is an Irish horse from the family of great Miesque, and the daughter of renowned equine Frankel.

The 3-year-old equine was consigned by the Norelands, and Prospect Partnership secured this whopping deal online. Earlier, Humankind was bred and owned by Flaxman stables. The predetermined price was justified, given that Humankind has already put up a good fight in the past, a testament to its exceptional trainers and breeding quality/integrity as well. It has had a heady rush coupled with an exceptional equestrian sojourn as well.

Humankind’s equestrian career – charted

Humankind is trained by Sir Michael Stoute and sired by Frankel. The 3-year-old made his debut last year in October 2022 at the Doncaster course. Since then, the equine has competed in just 2 more races at Newbury and Kempton. Unfortunately, Humankind hasn’t been able to record a win yet in any of his three starts, but he’ll get there in due time, course, and consistent practice.

Humankind last raced at the Newbury on 22nd July, 2023. He was ridden by R Kingscote, finishing unplaced in the event. Yet to win any race, the change of owners could prove to be beneficial for the Irish equine. Horse racing enthusiasts will hope the switch and pivot brings a change of fortunes for Humankind. There’s a lot riding on Humankind’s able bodied shoulders.
