According to PAULICK REPORT News, The horse was euthanized on 29th Oct 2022, but the official confirmation was given recently. Summer Is Tomorrow, a son of Summer Front bred in Kentucky by Brereton Jones of Airdrie Stud. He had shown immense promise from the start.
The legend stallion started off his carrier in the biggest 2019 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale. He was sold to Magna Carta Bloodstock for $25,000. Later, in the 2021 Arqana Deauville Breeze Up Sale, he caught the attention of Michael Burke. He said, “He really was a brilliant animal and we were very disappointed”.
Burke acquired him for $169,743 and sent him to Dubai under the guidance of trainer Bhupat Seemar, Summer Is Tomorrow made his mark by breaking his maiden at Meydan Racecourse during his 2-year-old season. After winning the Al Karama Stakes at Meydan in February of his 3-year-old season, he rapidly proved himself as a strong competitor for the Group 2 U.A.E. Derby. The anticipation for his debut at the prestigious Kentucky Derby soars with his achievements.

Derby Dreams and Heartbreak in Equestrian World
Despite being considered a long shot, he astounded spectators with a lightning-fast opening quarter-mile time, etching his name in Derby history. However, the dream was short-lived, as Summer Is Tomorrow faced intense competition and eventually finished last in the field of 20.

Tragically, his racing journey concluded with the Kentucky Derby, leaving behind a legacy of two wins and earnings of $267,606. The loss of such a talented and promising racehorse has left an indelible mark on the equestrian world. Seemar mentioned, “It’s really unfortunate, because he had so much talent and potential as an older horse, continuing, “We all still miss him, and it will be hard to get another one as talented as him, as he was just furnishing into a very strong horse.” His words echo the sentiments of all, mourning the loss of a horse with boundless talent and a bright future.
