The Desert International Horse Park (DIHP) is currently witnessing a rather ceremonious and star-studded equestrian spectacle with the ongoing 2023 edition of Desert Holiday. There’s been a lot of pomp and circumstance surrounding the event. The competition began on November 29 and will conclude on December 10, 2023, in Thermal, California.

At the exciting races, riders and their equine companions have put on an incredible display of skill and determination. And among the standout performers are the esteemed equestrian power couple, Jennifer Gates and Nayel Nassar, who have been show-jumping their way into glory.

In an Instagram update from Evergate Stables, owned by Jennifer Gates and her husband, Nayel Nassar, the equestrian community was left thrilled. The caption of the post read, “Well done, #teamevergatestables!” Jennifer Gates, atop Donvier, lovingly called “Paris,” showed innate prowess in CSI2* this week at The Desert International Horse Park. Despite a small fault with a single rail in the second round, she had a clear run in the previous round of the same class. And that’s not all. This incredible feat brought the duo into the top ten of the CSI2* 1.40m.

Joining Jenn Gates’ incredible achievement was Nayel Nassar, who, with his gelding horse, El Conde, competed in the CSI2* 1.45m speed, where the duo proved their dynamic mettle. Nassar and El Conde ended up placing  5th in the competition with this incredible partnership. And the couple’s accomplishments at Desert Holiday don’t end there.
