Horses are among the most beautiful and mysterious creatures. They are wonderful partners for many equestrian riders, and their compassionate temperament makes them popular with everyone. Though this is true for the most part, there are a few that mistreat these magnificent creatures out of avarice. While it is easy to lay blame on these individuals in these circumstances, what if it was an accident?

A terrible occurrence was reported in a recent ABC4 news update, leaving the equestrian community in deep sorrow and shock. Many individuals are in tears when they learn about the catastrophe that occurred in Marion County.

Unquenchable fires, Equestrian community mourns

The event occurred on the 6000 block of Scarlet Road in Marion County’s Temperance Hill hamlet, where the Marion County Barn is located. More than 30 horses perished in the tragedy, according to Marion County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Tammy Erwin. The barn which hosted several horses caught fire on Friday afternoon for reasons unknown.

 

The actual number has not been determined, leaving the community with conflicting sentiments. They didn’t want to know the precise amount since it would provide some comfort if it was less, but more grief if it was more. At the moment, the entire town is praying for the horses, with many hoping that the injured ones will survive. Erwin’s further information provided some optimism when he recounted seeing six horses fleeing from the stables.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated. The law enforcement officers stated that the owner of the barn is extremely understanding and is cooperating fully in all matters pertaining to it. With great expectations that the investigators will uncover the reason quickly and decide whether or not the fire was deliberate, Knowing what sparked the fire might also make other barns wary.

Horse lovers Unite with Empathy Toward Tragedy

Temperance Hill Fire Department is being assisted by  Marion City, Mullins City, Dillon County, and Marion County Rural Fire Departments in conducting the investigation. The crews are working meticulously to discover the cause of the fire. The Marion Fire Rescue received a call at 12:45 p.m. on  Friday to assist with the fire. According to the fire service, the fire was endangering cattle and other neighboring structures.

These heinous incidents just fill people’s hearts with empathy, and even the coldest of individuals feel pity for the victims. When the event was reported, the horse-loving community felt a knife penetrate their hearts. Horse enthusiasts all across the world are sympathizing with the owner, his family, and, most importantly, the horses.
