The Federation Equestre Internationale highlighted four categories of equestrian in their latest award event. Except for the best athlete, best groom, or best-rising star, the FEI Award Gala 2023 showcased the Inspire award for the first time. Being an obvious choice, the Mexican equestrian, Federico Fernandez Senderos, won the prestigious Inspire Award.?

However, for an individual like Senderos, the definition of life or success seems different. The Mexican jockey has represented his country for the umpteenth time in the equestrian competitions.?

While taking a full discourse of Senderos’s journey, the FEI hailed his ‘keeping things simple’ attitude. The FEI’s IG post has showcased the equestrian outpouring his take on life. Meanwhile, the caption has tried to frame many sides of the equestrian’s life.?

But it best resonates when the equestrian can be heard saying, “I think that we all human beings have an inner strength that we don’t know until it’s tested. And once you test it, you really feel very confident and very secure about moving on and enjoying life, which is precious.”?

Senderos’s life and equestrian journey till now?

In July 1987, Federico Fernandez Senderos faced a plane crash. He lost everything, including his horse. But he didn’t lose his motivation to go on. In the same year, he completed his graduation. Later, he opened some companies but didn’t give up on pursuing international show jumping. The equestrian tasted his first international achievement by winning a silver medal in the 2003 Pan American Games.?

The glory didn’t stop there. He presented Mexico in the 2004 Greece Olympics and later, the 2004 Germany World Equestrian Games. However, the equestrian went on to take part in two more Olympics and six more WEG events. His pair with his equine, Bohemio, stayed as the best fit in the circuit. The duo participated in the aforementioned events together. However, the Cana Cup was their victory together.?

In 2023, Federico received the team rank four in the Continental Games Santiago. In the event, his individual ranking was 33. However, the community would expect a few more inspiring years from Federico Fernandez Senderos.?
