With less than 14 days remaining for the Kentucky Derby, celebrations have begun in Louisville and fans’ excitement has soared. Adding to the fans’ joy is important news about Churchill Downs, where the Derby will be held. Now the public will be able to see their favorite horses train for the upcoming contest at zero cost. A newsfeed named Spectrum News gave all details of this golden opportunity to fans.
The source reported that the visitors could enter Churchill Downs via the Paddock gate. Visitors can also use the facility of free parking near Orange lots or close to Green lots. After entering Churchill Downs, visitors will be able to identify Derby horses by their customized yellow saddle towels which include the names of the horses. Here is a glimpse of the timings and days visitors can view their favorite horses.

From 27th April to 3rd May, guests can come to see their favorite horses from 7 am to 10 am. While the training timings for horses at Churchill Downs are 5:15 to 10:00, only Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks horses will train from 7:30 to 7:45 am.
Guests will be guided to Sections 115- 117 to view the Kentucky Derby horses training in the morning. While food from outside won’t be permitted, every morning, food and beverage options will be available at Churchill Downs. Fans also will have the choice to have a special breakfast at Millionaires Row or Dawn at the Downs Dining.
Spectrum News also reported that fans arriving to view the fillies training for the Kentucky Oaks Race will be able to identify them by their customized, pink saddle towels with the filly’s name written on them. This will help to distinguish them from horses competing in the Kentucky Derby. This is not the only good news for fans. Three balloon fest events were also recently announced to enhance fans’ experience in Louisville ahead of the Kentucky Derby.
3 mesmerizing balloon events are set to attract thousands of fans
These three balloon events will take place on the coming weekend. The event, the Great Balloon Rush Hour Race, will commence at 7 am on 28th April, and visitors can expect to see 20 balloons in multiple colors float in the sky in Bowman’s Field. The Great Balloon Glow will take place on Kroeger Fest-a-Ville on the night of 28th April.

The Great Balloon Race will start on Friday, 29th April from Bowman’s Field. Fans will also be able to enjoy various family-friendly activities, kids ride along with a fireworks display, and a steamboat race which will be an integral part of the Kentucky Derby Festival celebrations.
