The event that claims to be the best in show jumping has run to accumulate the best 16 of the field from 16 different stops. Today, as it reaches the ultimate stage of the LGC Prague Playoffs, the excitement and anticipation have been higher than it has been all year.
The LGC Prague playoffs have quite an interesting setlist for its 3-day celebration of the sport. From the knockout stages of the GCL Super Cup to the Super Grand Prix, it is an action-packed weekend. However, as the best of equestrians lock horns, one will remain to take home the most coveted prize and a rather heavy one for the year. The LGC Tour has handed out 16 golden tickets throughout its long journey for the year. Alongside these, the participants of the Super Cup will fight a close battle for an esteemed spot. To build on the excitement and speculation, the LGC stepped in for an Instagram post. “The LGCT Super Grand Prix and GCL Super Cup Hall of Fames,” the post read; sharing the past winners. It also did not forget to add, “Get ready to rumble.”?And with Jessica Springsteen’s excellent career, the US is keeping an eye out for the youngster.

Jessica Springsteen, who started riding at the age of five, has embraced a steady growth on her path. Starting her career early, the 31-year-old dominated the equestrian scenes in 2008 and 2009; winning ASPCA Maclay Finals and the WEF Excellence in Equitation Championship, respectively. In 2010, she won a team silver at the FEI North American Youth Championships and represented the US at the Nations Cup, winning in 2014, 2020, and 2021.
Following up, the equestrian has stood entitled to multiple Grand Prix titles. The list includes Rolex Grand Prix CSI 5* at Brussels and CSI2* Grand Prix at Saint-Tropez, more recently. However, above all, Jessica’s Olympic participation in 2021 and the Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of London CSI5* win were the highlight of her career. The latter of the feat has pushed Jess to grace the grounds of 02 Arena for the ultimate title.

The details of the Super Grand Prix – unfurled
On the 18th of November, Saturday, 16 golden ticket winners will battle it out at the 02 Arena for 1.25 million euros. The contest will be held over 2 rounds challenging 1.65m tracks. The event will include no jump-offs, while penalties from both rounds will be added. In case of a tie, times of the round 2 will act as determinants.

Philipp Weishaupt (GER), the winner of 2023?s kick-off stage, 2018 LGCT Super Grand Prix winner, David Will, and 2021 LGCT Super Grand Prix winner Henrik von Eckermann are some of the names Jessica Springsteen will go head-on against for the 2023 title. With names and rules in place, the equestrian world awaits to watch the best man or woman lift the coveted trophy. One thing’s for sure, Jessica Springsteen has a lot riding on her shoulders.
