Equestrian sports intermittently come under scrutiny for the death of equine athletes. Animal Rights advocates have often called for a ban on racetracks with a record number of horse deaths, and in several cases, for a permanent ban on the sport itself. Another mishap has left the equestrian community disheartened as a horse faces a tragic fate. The news of the horse’s death and the circumstances surrounding it have sent the local community into a furor.

Even though the horse did not collapse during any major race, if the reports are to be believed, the culprits will be facing some serious charges for committing the crime.
