FEI Dressage World Cup brought the pomp and show of the Olympics to the Flemish city of Mechelen this week. The equestrian razzmatazz summoned memories of the grandiose hubbub only ever witnessed in the Olympic arena. The exquisite sights of Belgium paled in comparison to the magnificent steeds galloping up and down the hallowed grounds of the historic venue.
The 28th edition of the FEI Dressage World Cup emanated every aspect of the equestrian fanfare that appeals to the fanbase. There was grace, strength, fitness, finesse and, above all, teamwork in full glory as horse and rider performed intricate moves as one. FEI Global recently shared a captivating video of Charlotte Fry’s dance routine in the equestrian event. Fry, affectionately known as Lottie in the dressage community, chose Everdale as her partner and expressed her undying fidelity to it. Lottie trusted Everdale to execute the dance routine to perfection, just as he had done in their silver-earning Olympic performance in 2021. In a heartwarming statement shared as the caption to the Instagram video on the FEI Global page, the legendary rider said, “He was completely amazing. I think it is two of the best tests we have ever done, especially today in the Freestyle”. Their unbelievably strong equestrian partnership came forth in the stolid expression on Fry and Everdale’s faces. They earned 84.980 to devolve the Netherlands’ Marlies van Baalen and partner Habibi DBV from the top spot.
