Sabrina Lewis’s momentous triumph in the Miss California pageant, surpassing 42 other talented contenders, has left her both humbled and exhilarated. Celebrating her unique achievement, Lewis expressed her disbelief at becoming the first African-American woman to be crowned Miss California in the past 25 years. Through her Instagram collaboration with the official Miss America California page, she shared her raw emotions: “Can’t believe that I’m the first African-American woman crowned Miss California in the past 25 years!!!”

Lewis’s deep-rooted passion for equestrian sports has been an integral part of her journey at the pageant. As a dedicated show jumper, she has consistently set her sights on the 2028 Olympics, envisioning a future where she can compete on the grandest stage alongside the world’s finest equestrians. While Lewis celebrates her recent victory, her aspirations for the Olympics remain her ultimate driving force.

Lewis also shared how a part of her was missing, as she has always been a horse girl. She also talked about her aim for 2028 Olympics and said, “I have a saddle company, a glove company, a helmet company, but I need the main component, which is a horse to get to the Olympics and compete at that high level.” She performed a monologue for her love for horses during a segment at the pageant wearing the equestrian kit and apart from this, she also runs a non-profit organization for horses. This pretty much sums up how she maintains the balance between both the careers and henceforth she etched her name in the history of Miss California.
