A local horse and pony show in Sacramento is getting ready for a special event for this year’s extravaganza. The event is meant to pay tribute to Barbie, as the movie based on this iconic toy starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling is all set to grace the theatres. This equestrian theme event at the California Expo will create a buzz for the movie before it releases in the cinemas on July 21. The film has already drawn a lot of attention with its teaser. Nevertheless, this Barbie-theme horse show has girded up to add to the film’s popularity and make it a blockbuster success.

Every year the California State Fair organizing committee tries to add something new for the visitors. This year, they have decided to showcase horses’ beauty and grace in a unique way. Within their event called ‘Cavalcade of Horses,’ they have introduced a new segment dedicated to the enchanting world of Barbie.

Highlights of the Captivating Barbie Themed Horse Show at the California State Fair

The community has always loved horses and also supported this festival. The organizers usually put in a children’s play arena to keep the smaller visitors engaged. Here they can play with ponies and also learn basic horse care. This year they have thought of adding another exciting element to the event by incorporating Barbie into the mix. The performers dressed as the iconic Barbie doll paraded around the ground in pink. The performers also gave a teaser of their terrific performances for the event.

In an interview with CBS News, PJ “Ken” Solorzano said, “We are going to have our Barbie show coming up,…We are going to have a giant pink trailer, tons of accessories, and all kinds of amazing Barbies here as well.” Clearly, the organizers are aiming to create a memorable experience for children attending the event. Both the horses and their riders will be dressed in matching pink Barbie-themed outfits, complete with pink saddles and colorful tassels. The Barbie Themed Equestrian Event is part of the nightly attraction at the fair this year. You will also be able to see Ballerina Barbie, Olympic Barbie, and many more in whole new avatars. Visitors will definitely enjoy the performers in sparkling costumes performing acrobatic moves on horseback.

What Did The Organizers Have To Say About The Latest Addition To The “Cavalcade of Horses”

In this regard, Solorzano added, “One of the cool things about this is we are doing a musical interpretation, a little bit of dance — basically some gymnastics on the back of these horses. All sorts of amazing tricks, flips and things that you can imagine up there.” Darla Givens, who acts as a spokesperson for the fair, also spoke to CBS News, congratulating the committee on their innovative and exciting idea. She said, “…they came up with a big hit, with the Barbie Show.”

You can watch the Barbie-themed horse show at the Cavalcade of Horses Event in July at the California State Fair. Beach Party Ken will also make an entry to the show to entertain attendees.
