Nayel Nassar—a renowned figure in the equestrian world got into the limelight not only because of his success in show jumping but also because of his relationship with the Gates family. Nassar’s quest for excellence in the cutthroat field of racing has come under scrutiny owing to his status as the husband of Jennifer Gates–the oldest daughter of renowned tech entrepreneur, Bill Gates. Born in Egypt, Nassar represented his country in important show jumping events such as the World Equestrian Games and Longines Global Champions Tour.

Evergate Stables is an equestrian training and boarding facility which is owned by Jennifer Gates. The Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) in Wellington, Florida, known as the world’s biggest and longest horse show, has a thirteen-week duration and brings more than 8000 horses and plentiful riders from different countries. WEF is not just a place where multiple competitions are spectated by different individuals but, it also doubles up as an economic giant that generates immense revenue for both Wellington and Palm Beach County every year. It gives rise to local enterprises, promotes young artists and provides charities with over $1 million every year. Nayel Nassar set the tone for this championship, as it spelled success in the beginning. His professional trajectory has been equally commend worthy.

From Stanford alum to equestrian phenom, Nassar dons many hats

Nassar graduated from Stanford University in 2013 and made his debut internationally in 2012. He ceremoniously won the Artisan Farms Young Rider Grand Prix Series at the Winter Equestrian Festival, and since then there’s been no looking back.

He was among the early riders to be registered by the MLSJ (Major League Show Jumping), where he started his career. Nassar has been committed to MLSJ throughout these seasons, beginning with the season of 2017, up to his latest social post on Instagram narrating his smooth sailing through this year’s competition. The success he achieved in MLSJ proves good relations with these animals and the benefits of his efforts. He has frequently been in the top three of the division’s horsemen, with partners such as “Coronado,” “El Conde” or “Lucifer V.”
