“I Like To Move It,” is one of the fantastic racehorses in the horseracing world. His death update has cast a somber shadow over the racing community. A high-class National Hunt horse, known for his popularity and a commendable sixth-place finish in this year’s Champion Hurdle, met an untimely end due to a fatal injury sustained during the race.

Tragic loss for the equestrian world

On the 8th of October 2023, the jockey, Sam Twiston-Davies, shared a heartbreaking update on his X (formerly known as Twitter) handle. He adds,

“Incredibly sad to lose I Like To Move It today, what he meant to all of us at Grange Hill farm is near impossible to put into words. A horse with the kindest heart always gave everything. So many great memories with him, you’ll be deeply missed. Thank you for everything. ” The post includes a touching picture of him with the incredible racehorse.

The beloved horse, I Like To Move It, met a tragic end at Uttoxeter, succumbing to a fatal injury during the ‘Gents Day’ race. The high-class National Hunt horse suffered a devastating fall at the final fence, leading to the heartbreaking decision to put him down. The six-year-old, known for his popularity and a notable sixth-place finish in this year’s Champion Hurdle, couldn’t be saved from the severity of the injury.
