The nearing date of the Paris Olympics has got the athletes gearing up to fight for a spot in the teams. With berths in place, it is time for the aspirants to up their game and maneuver their way through the trials in the coming months. For 2-time Olympic equestrian, Adrienne Lyle, the situation spells no different. Having contributed much to the US Dressage, the 39-year-old is boosting her hopes for the games with the right preparations.
Adrienne Lyle, through almost two decades of her equestrian career, has stood to adorn numerous accolades. With multiple Grand Prix has come an Olympic team silver for the dressage champion. The memorable force in the industry has pointed out Lyle to be a potential member of the team and more so with the recent updates.
The equestrian fetches a new addition to the barn

Euro Dressage recently broke the news about Lyle having two new additions to her barn ahead of the Paris Olympics. A deal made through German horse dealer Jochen Arl secured the Olympian two Paris hopefuls. The exchange arrived in the haste of the Olympic ownership transfer deadline set for January 15th, 2024. The regulation states that the registration of horses must be of the same nation as the rider to confer eligibility.
The two equines finding a new home were revealed to be Charlotte Fry’s Lars van de Hoenderheide as well as Marina Mattsson’s Helix. Both of the horses hold an excellent record, thus, improving the equestrian’s chances at attaining a dream. “I am incredibly honored to have such an opportunity with two super talented horses,” Adrienne told HorseandHound. With Jochen Arl’s remarkable headhunt for the two potentials, Lyle looks hopeful.

Lars van de Hoenderheide or Lars made his grand prix debut in October 2022. The horse further grew to adorn confidence and impressive numbers. Following 70.761% in his first grand prix, Lars scored a personal best of +81% in Compiegne CDI3* freestyle. 2 more second placings followed Lars and rider, Charlotte around until they scored big one last time in December. The duo won the Kronenberg CDI3* freestyle with 78.48% as the final number before being transferred.

As for Helix, the 12-year-old made his international grand prix debut in February last year where he finished with 69.848 %. Helix and rider Marina, further contested at the Swedish Nations Cup, earning a team silver. Post that, the duo recorded a personal best of 71.761% before reaching Lyle. “I am excited to get them here and get to know them. Now it’s time to keep my head down, get to work and try to do the best we can with this amazing opportunity,” the 2-time Olympian said.
