As the equestrian sport continues to touch greater heights, the participation of the younger generation is increasing as one of the World’s largest equestrian centers shares heartwarming scenes. World Equestrian Center is not only the center of breathtaking action but a promoter of outstanding talent as well. Recently, the Ocala venue of the center welcomed one such multidisciplinary talented young rider.

Still, very early in her career, the young athlete is rising through the ranks while also managing her high school. Although her parents are equestrians themselves, her athletic achievements are still more than exceptional.

America’s Next Big Equestrian Star?

In the latest update on Instagram, the World Equestrian Center shed light on the incredible achievements of versatile junior Lilly Geitner after the conclusion of the 3-day dressage competition. Hailing her multidisciplinary dominance, the caption read, “This week’s Ocala Sunday Spotlight features Lilly Geitner, a versatile junior athlete with a lifelong connection to horses. Daughter of Daniel and Cathy Geitner, Lilly has embraced the equestrian lifestyle and has been dominating in the hunter, jumper and equitation rings, achieving top placings in all three disciplines.”

Lilly was crowned the champion at the USEF Pony Finals on Farewell in 2021. However, she later changed course to jumpers, hunters, and equitation, but her ‘absolute favorite is definitely the jumpers’. Lilly rode last year in the Medal and Maclay finals and impressed everyone with her remarkable talent. Adding to her achievements are multiple hunter derbies and a night class at WEC. While she loves the sport, Lilly is equally devoted to the academic field.

Lilly Geitner reveals future plans

While Lilly Geitner’s equestrian future is undoubtedly heading into a great one, she has high academic aspirations as well. Speaking with the World Equestrian Center, she revealed she had over a year left in her High School, and plans to move to the University of Georgia. “I’m committed to the University of Georgia equestrian team, and I’m really excited about it“, Lilly noted.

The aspiring jumper champion also has her subjects decided. “I think I want to major in interior design or real estate“, she added. Equestrian enthusiasts hope Lilly stays true to her potential and goes on to become one of the greatest jumpers.
