After attending the event, Peck also spoke to the newsfeed Dailymail, sharing her experience of donning the $3 million worth of headgear. The popular model wore a headgear embedded with 1,264 diamonds along with a 37.53-carat beryl on Victoria Derby Day held on Saturday, 1st November 2014. This headgear was made by Natalie Bickicki in collaboration with John Calleija within a year, motivated by Roman mythology.

According to the newsfeed HeraldSun, the process of embedding these diamonds in the fascinator took 6 workers more than 100 hours to complete. To ensure that the headgear looked good on her, Peck also curled her hair for the event.

Later, Peck opened up about her experience of wearing this headgear to DailyMail. “I’m feeling like one very expensive princess right now,” she said. Indicating that her guards would protect her crown, she hoped to inspire the fashion of women attending equestrian events. Interestingly, wearing hats is also a popular tradition for the Kentucky Derby. But what is the reason for this?

Currently, some of the hats trending are ‘Bellady Big Brim Hat Organza Beach Hat Summer Beach cap, and Cizoe’s fascinator hats. Women try to wear dresses that match well with the hat’s color. There are also professional milliners who make hats and help women to choose the correct hat. Christine A.
