Dressage Champion Anna Buffini is one of the most decorated equestrians who never misses the boat to amaze her fans with her horse-riding prowess. Hailing from a successful athletic family, and an equestrian icon, Anna recently made her highly anticipated mare Fiontini’s debut. US Grand Prix rider Buffini purchased the triple young horse world champion Fiontini in October 2021 as a 2022 WEG contender. But that did not happen.
After two years, of having her stay at home, Anna with her mare crossed the centerline first time at the international level in the Grand Prix for Special on February 2, 2024, at the CDI Del Mar event in California. After the event, Anna took to her Instagram to pen a warm note.

After Fio’s debut at the international level, Anna Buffini posted multiple pictures of the fantastic opening equestrian event for the 2024 season, along with a long post. The opening lines of the caption came as a reminder that more dazzling displays are yet to come in 2024. It reads “ Woke up with so much gratitude in my heart this morning. ❤️ Incredible first show of the 2024 season and I’m hungrier than ever to put in the work necessary to be the best possible rider for my horses.”

The young, emerging talent of the U.S., Anna Buffini, also expressed gratitude to her team, sponsors, fans, and family. “An enormous thank you to my incredible, world-class team. Absolutely none of this would be possible without them. An enormous thank you to my sponsors, family, coach, vet, grooms, physios, farriers & management team. You’ve helped make Fio’s debut a success and have Diva looking like she’s 17 going on 7!
She continued with thanking her fans, while writing, “I’m also grateful for the continued support and encouragement from all of our supporters and fans – we’re so excited to take you on this journey with us!” she added further in her caption. The long post did come without a reason as Buffini had an excellent ride with Fiontini at Del Mar.

Fio shows up with a bang
Buffini bought the most talented mare as a U.S. team potential for the 2022 World Championships in Herning. But because of some undisclosed reasons, the pair could not make their debut at the 2022 Global Dressage Festival in Wellington. Surprisingly, Buffini went completely silent on the whereabouts of the mare. Not even a single picture or clip ever surfaced in these two years. But when Fiontini finally showed up, her action spoke the loudest.
