In a similar vein, Arcangelo, a three-year-old colt who has accomplished nearly every possible achievement in the equestrian arena, has been given a new role post his professional equestrian endeavors. After his illustrious career has culminated, the horse will take up stud duties at a famed equestrian farm.

Arcangelo, the multiple Grade 1 stakes winner, will be given stallion responsibilities at the Lane’s End farm after he is done with his last start. As reported by the Paulick Report, this equestrian prodigy racing for Jon Ebbert’s Blue Rose Farm and under the expert guidance of trainer Jena Antonucci has had an amazing 2023 season, winning the Belmont Stakes and Travers Stakes.
Talking about the new role for Arcangelo, Ebbert stated, ““It has been a surreal experience to own a horse of this magnitude. From the beginning of this journey, I tried to make every right decision for this horse, and now I have another important one to make. Upon his retirement, I’ve chosen Lane’s End as the perfect fit for his stallion career.”
He further conveyed his immense delight at possessing a horse of such exceptional quality. He fondly recollected the moment he first set eyes on Arcangelo, acknowledging that it was the most beautiful sight he had ever beheld.
Jena Antonucci’s trained equine is also considered to be the top contender for the champion 3-year-old male. In his small career, he has had a great impact on the equestrian world with all those great achievements.

A quick look into his career and stats
The reigning double Grade 1 stakes winner’s lineage traces back to his sire, Arrogate, and dam, Modeling. He was bred in Kentucky, United States, by Don Alberto Corporation and has raced at almost every famed equestrian arena, including Belmont Park, Gulfstream Park, and Saratoga Racecourse. He broke into the headlines this year when he left behind Forte to clinch the title of Belmont Stakes on June 10, 2023.

If that was not enough, he entered the Saratoga racecourse on August 26 with all the guns blazing and won the Travers Stakes, leaving behind Disarm with a one-length margin. Apart from these two Grade 1s, he also won the Grade 3 2023 Peter Pan Stakes. In six starts of his career, Arcangelo has been declared the winner in four of them while placing second once. His career is worth over $1,754,900 and has been a great deal for the Blue Rose Farm so far.
