And when it comes to rescue horses, it’s a whole different ball game. Recently, Skydog Sanctuary posted about one of their rescue horses, named Commander, and there wasn’t a single dry eye on the internet.

Commander, a wild horse, was rumored to have gone through a period of separation from his family while being herded. His caretaker from Skydog has commented on the Facebook post, lending credence to the theory that the horse’s difficult upbringing is to blame for his ferocity. His fanbase was eagerly waiting for some news for the past few days

The Heartwarming Journey of Commander: A Community’s Efforts and a Horse’s Recovery

Commander is a horse that was rescued thanks to the efforts of the equestrian community. When his life was in danger, many individuals donated to assist him. As a charitable organization, Skydog really benefited from this. After a few days of no word about the horse, his fans began to worry, and today, a video detailing what had transpired was posted.

Commander was recently visited by a vet after suffering an injury. The veterinarian saw that his knee was swollen after the incident and diagnosed that the swelling was caused by fluid that would drain on its own. The video was shot by his caregiver when she was out getting him breakfast.

While en route to him, she explained quite a bit about their stable systems. The footage shows that the commander snorts loudly whenever she visits the barn where the horse is kept. From his snorting, she deduces that the Commander may take him some time to acclimatize since he was used to living in the wild. According to previous posts by the organization on Instagram, Commander was separated from his friends Rango and Ranger, when they were all bought by separate buyers at the Knoxville Tennessee livestock auction.

“Commander is quite intimidating in the chute and on the ground and I don’t think this horse should have been adopted out as he’s not safe for the average person to handle. Thankfully he will settle down once he’s back with his friend which will happen soon, we also want to get a little more weight on those ribs in peace.”, said the Skydog Sanctuary employee in the video. And when it comes to a reunion, the internet is always up with cheers.

Fans have expressed their relief in the comments section. A fan expressed “ It’s so good to see Commander doing so well. I so look forward to the reunion with Rango.” Expressing the same sentiment, another user said, “Such a sweet boy. I can’t wait for the grand reunion. They so deserve this. While he may have been a feral at some point, the equestrian fanbase has left no stone unturned in case of showering him with their love. Fans are as eagerly waiting as Commander to be reunited with his friends Ranger and Rango. Skydog hoped to reunite the Three Musketeers as soon as possible.
