While competing in front of a large crowd can be fascinating, any errors made can largely dent the confidence of an athlete. A similar incident took place with a 26-year-old French diver, who slipped and fell in front of dignitaries. The incident took place during the inauguration ceremony of an Olympic center in France.

While there were several athletes performing their routines, this unfortunate athlete had a malfunction of epic proportions. The slip-up came into the limelight more so because it happened in front of the President of France, Emmanuel Macron. However, after the updates emerged, it looked like the French diver was a great sport in accepting his faux pas.

Slipping in front of the President of the country can never be something one can live down. However, for Alexis Jandard, it was a test of character. As fans raised their concerns for the well-being of Jandard, he shared an update through his social media. The French diver, in his Instagram story, uploaded a picture of his back that looked badly bruised with blood clots.

Surprisingly, Jandard was sporting enough to acknowledge his mistake as he said, “I fell in front of the president. I fell in front of the whole of France… Honestly, I really deserve it.
