Tyson’s perception of Armstrong was different than other athletes
Just like other athletes, Mike Tyson has always been vocal about the doping scandal of Lance Armstrong. However, his thoughts about Armstrong did not come from the Oprah interview but, from his own experience of spending time with the cycling legend. He has always believed that Lance is a generous soul. Tyson has always thought highly of Armstrong’s character and hoped that he would become a better person after learning the lesson. “He did bad things, but I’ll never call him a bad guy,” the boxing legend once said.
