Lance Armstrong has one of the most debatable careers in the sport’s history of cycling. He made headlines for his first seven consecutive Tour De France titles and later from his infamous doping scandal. Although the former cycling champion retired in 2011. He has been vocal about his after-cycling career. Recently, Armstrong has again become a topic of discussion in social media for one of his interviews.

Lance Armstrong recently appeared for an interview with popular YouTuber Joe Pompliano. The interview was titled, “Lance Armstrong: The rise, fall, and redemption of a cycling legend”.

Lance provided fascinating insights into his personal and professional life. Joe was very excited to share the information about the interview. He tweeted a short clip and wrote, “This was one of my favourites”. Fans soon bombarded the comment section with reviews, feedback, and some personal emotions. 

Fans’ Reactions towards latest Lance Armstrong interview?

The interview received mixed feedback from the audience. One fan claimed that the interview changed his perception of Armstrong. He added that he had no intention of watching it, but later developed interest as the show kept moving. He said, “I wasn’t going to watch at first. This turned my head. I appreciate his ownership of his actions.” 

One fan who was unhappy with the whole thing said, “To clarify: he didn’t win those titles. He cheated them.”

One fan acknowledged the rich content quality but also added that he is least interested in listening to Lance’s justification for his actions.

Some fans were still disheartened by the fact that Armstrong cheated on their emotions and unethically won the seven Tour de France titles.

There were still some fans who believe that what Lance achieved was beyond politics and that he should be recognized for his achievements.

Armstrong talked about his upbringing in Plano, Texas. They both discussed how Lance first became interested in cycling the moment he realized he could compete with the best in the world. Lance Armstrong provides the audience with specifics of his cancer diagnosis, therapy, and ultimate return to competitive riding.

Joe delve further into Lance’s downfall, including the FBI probe, the expensive legal battles, and his eventual admission to Oprah. Lance then discussed the financial effects this has had on his family, from losing $75 million in a single day to being able to invest in Uber early, thanks to a fortunate meeting.
