In the rugged and adrenaline-filled bull-riding world, Sage Kimzey has become a force to be reckoned with, a name of dominance, if you will. The PBR and PRCA champion has broken various records and is considered one of the greatest bull-riders of our time.

The icon has won seven PRCA bull riding world championships and the CBR world championship three times. With sheer talent, he has made it to the pinnacle of bull riding. And now, in light of his incredible journey, the champion received a special shout-out in the most recent news as he went from his legend to the ?Rookie Era.?

Sage Kimzey earns a special shout-out as a dominant force in bull riding

In a recent Instagram post by the official PBR account, a smirky Sage Kimzey can be seen and was tagged in a carousel of five images. The images showed the champion celebrating in the arena and captured an incredible shot of him atop a mighty and magnificent bull. The first image showcased him donned in a classic cowboy ensemble with a hat perched atop his head. Next came images that captured him fully geared up, fearlessly riding the beast as the scoreboard displayed an impressive 247.75 points.

Following these action-packed scenes were shots of the champion reveling in his victory, basking in the cheers of his adoring fans. The official PBR account captioned the image, ?The 7X PRCA World Champion has entered his PBR rookie era?. These incredible shots depicted the incredible success the icon has had and the force he has been in PBR.

His incredible journey, despite the challenges

Kimzey entered the world of rodeo at a very tender age, stemming from the excitement of mutton busting. His passion evolved into a professional career, beginning in 2014 when he joined the PRCA. Sage became the first rookie since 1963 to win a world title and a rookie title in the same year. Following this, he won an astounding seven world titles in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021, along with three NFR (National Finals Rodeo) average titles.

His talent helped him reach the pinnacle of his career. In 2023, however, he faced a massive challenge when he sustained injuries that included a broken clavicle, a displaced bicep tendon, and rotator cuff damage. This setback sidelined him for six weeks of the 2023 season and the initial half of the 2023 PBR Team Series. Despite these challenges, undeterred by adversity, Kimzey displayed relentless grit and determination at the Carolina Cowboys’ hometown event during Cowboy Days.

The turning point came on the weekend of November 10?11, 2023, as Kimzey made his PBR Premier Series regular-season debut in Tucson, Arizona. Remarkably, he secured a second-place finish, tying with Jo?o Ricardo Vieira. The special shout-out from PBR highlighted the incredible journey of the legend, reaffirming his standing as a tour de force with in the bull riding arena.
