But, in all likelihood, the future of Olympic boxing isn’t going to be as surreal as its past. There have been some talks about removing the Olympic game status of the sport of boxing from the 2028 Summer Olympics. This decision was made in January of this year due to corruption and doping concerns. Quite expectedly, fans of the sport are having a moment.

IOC, the governing body for the games reached this decision due to a long mismanagement concern. But, it is not only the athletes who are concerned about the future. Ardent fans of the game have taken to Twitter to voice their opinions. After a tweet by DAZN Boxing, the news attracted quite a bit of fan reactions, both negative and positive.
Some fans were quite in favor of the decision, stating that the violence of the sport was not meant for human bodies.

This tweet was done in recent light of the fight of the Youtuber turned boxer duo, the Paul brothers. Both Jake Paul and Logan Paul entered the ring and have fought quite a few fights but not without controversy. Nevertheless, they have had contributions to generating a hype wave for the sport.

What is the future of the sport?
Amidst the multiple opinions from multiple sources, the future of boxing in the Games remains uncertain. There is no surety of cleaning up the management or other such measures that would hasten the process of its reintroduction.
