The day of the Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award a.k.a. ESPY award wrapped up on a great note. The ceremony featured star-studded lineups, with athletes from all over the world coming together for this event.

The athletes shared their arriving pictures with their friends, teammates, and legendary sportsman on their social media accounts which attracted reactions from their fans. The Charles Barkley of the Olympics, Lolo Jones also posted a story on social media that drew the netizen’s attention.

In an Instagram story from her official page, Lolo Jones shared a photo from the ESPY award ceremony that has garnered the attention of her fandom. The two-time world indoor championship gold medalist posed for the lens while standing next to the boxing legend Mike Tyson in the picture. The hurdler showed respect and appreciation for the legend in the caption saying, “No Words. Icon“.

The fans wondered what made her taller than the icon. According to the records, Mike Tyson’s height is 5 foot 10 inches and the height of Lolo Jones is 5 foot 8 inches. But, in the picture, it seems she had added almost four inches to look taller than the boxing icon. The hurdler wore a black mini dress with a transparent front along with thick sole silver sandel. The thick sole of silver Sandel seems to have made the Iron Mike dwarf.

The bobsleigh world champion gold medalist also tagged her alma mater the Louisiana State University track and field saying that she would not be there without them. Her talent as an athlete was noticed during her university days, leading to the beginning of her hurdling career and many medals.

Lolo Jones started her career as a hurdler with a specialization in 60M and 100M. While at University she won three National Collegiate Athletic Association awards and many honors. On the world stage, she won two gold medals in the World Indoor Championships in the 60M hurdle in 2008 and 2010.

Her first summer Olympic participation was at the Beijing Olympics 2008 where she couldn’t win any medal despite achieving her personal best of 12.43 in the 100M hurdle. Later, that year she won gold in the 100M hurdle at World Athletics Final. After that, she joined the US bobsled team in 2012 with whom she won the 2013 World Championship. She is one of the few Athletes who participated in both the summer and Winter Olympics when she attended the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

The ESPY Awards is a place where legends and achievers from different sports come to celebrate the success of athletes. It is an event of socializing with the best and hence the hurdle met with the icon.
