Kevin Levrone points out Big Ramy’s mistake in Mr. Olympia 2022

Veterans have approached different angles behind Big Ramy’s defeat. However, a common point in their answers was Big Ramy’s conditioning. Legendary bodybuilder, Levrone discussed it as the biggest weak point of two-time Mr.Olympia. Big Ramy degraded from a title holder to the fifth position in the competition. According to Kevin, the dip was quite evident in the pre-judging round. He indicated that Ramy’s shape and condition made him take the back seat among the top five contestants.

In an interview with Muscular Development Magazine, Levrone explained pointed Big Ramy’s shortcomings:

“He wasn’t crisp, he wasn’t tight, and we’ve definitely seen him in better condition than he was on stage at the 2022 Olympia. I guess he did his best, ron.”

Levrone also added words of empathy for Big Ramy, “I guess he did his best, he and his team to bring the best package they could. I don’t want to beat the guy up, I feel sorry for him when you go from being Mr. Olympia to fifth place.”

Arnold Schwarzengger on Big Ramy’s defeat

7 time Mr.Olympia, Arnold Schwarzenegger also analyzed Big Ramy’s defeat. According to him, Big Ramy could stand a high chance of winning. However, he could not because of his size. He explained, “Big Ramy could have won again. I mean all he had to do was just stay the same way he was… Decrease his waist by one inch and increase his calves by one inch.”

Ramy concentrated so much on his size that it overshadowed the other parts of his body.  Although Ramy did not win Olympia 2022, many veterans and fans wish he returns stronger next year.
