Bodybuilder Joey Swoll is a famous TikTok fitness coach. Apart from posting fitness-related videos, he also posts educational gym videos and calls out toxic gym culture. Recently, Joey criticized one of the female TikTokers on her video. The bodybuilder reviewed the TikToker’s video in which she filmed a man who was blankly looking at her while she prepared to do lunges. On Twitter, Swoll uploaded the video recording his explanation with a caption that read:
“People are going to look at you in the gym. It’s normal and doesn’t make them a creep.”
It seemed like the man staring while crossing paths with the TikToker was purposely doing so, making her feel uncomfortable. However, Swoll indicated a different perspective by calling out the female TikToker for falsely accusing the man. The bodybuilder explained that the man might be just people-watching and had nothing to do with her. He just crossed paths with the TikToker and then minded his own business. Furthermore, Swoll explained that gyms are shared spaces, and it is normal for people to look at each other. He also criticized the TikToker for filming the video for the entire internet while suggesting that the onlooker was a creep.
He ended his explanation by stating that the TikToker must mind her own business at the gym instead of noticing who was staring at her.
