Both athletes have represented the US at multiple times at the Olympics. Dain Blanton earned his golden glory at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. On the other hand, Karolyn Kirby ushered in the inclusion of beach volleyball in the Olympics in 1992. She achieved this feat after winning the test event organized in Spain alongside her partner, Nancy Reno.
Dain Blanton currently works as a head coach at the University of Southern California (USC) and has been getting amazing results. Blanton’s students are achieving All-American status and are also registering great season records. Interestingly, USC is the same school that produced 2023’s Beach Volleyball Champs, which ended America’s 14-year title drought.
