Following her victory in the 100m race as a freshman at the 2019 Louisiana State Championships,?Sha’Carri Richardson?rose to fame as the next American track and field sprinting sensation. However, her career, though, has since been marred by quite a few controversies that have earned her a bad reputation among some people. Now, despite her fabulous comeback at the Miramar Invitational at the start of the 2023 season, she will still be taking some time off to heal herself.

Sha’Carri Richardson has recently posted a slightly cryptic story and revealed to the world that she has been through enough. She will thus take some time off to focus on herself and heal from her emotional wounds.

Sha’Carri Richardson drops another life update

“I think I’m just about to cut everything and everybody off to really heal”,?wrote Sha’Carri Richardson on her Instagram story. While no further explanation was given, things could be chalked up to the string of controversies she faced in recent times that may have affected her personally. Richardson shares this update on the heels of her grand victory at the Miramar Invitational, Florida last month.

She also wrote,?“Just time for me”?with a few star emojis alongside it, indicating her true desire to work on herself. On 23rd January 2023, she was removed from an American Airlines flight after she got into a heated argument with the flight attendant. She bore the wrath of netizens then.

She took some time for herself then and came out with a mellow plea to her fans in February. There, she wrote,?“I am mature yet immature,”?asking everyone to deal with her slightly more delicately. Richardson was going through a tough time, but it mustn’t have been tougher than when she was deemed ineligible to compete in the 100 meters at?Tokyo Olympics. A urine sample she had submitted came back with positive signs of THC metabolites, indicating her cannabis use.

It has been two years since, and Richardson is still finding ways to bring peace to her life. In her Instagram story, Richardson shared the picture from her room, seemingly cozying up while watching TV. On the racetrack, she recently lost to Kayla White in the Botswana Golden Grand Prix, earning the 2nd spot. However, it will take a lot of heart after her Miramar victory and all the controversies and continue her preparations for the Paris Olympics next year.
