Shiffrin’s upcoming calendar looks packed, according to the official FIS website. The two-time Olympic champ will kick off her 15th season of the World Cup on November 16 at the Levi. Finland. In January this year, the alpine skiing legend injured her left knee at Cortina d’Ampezzo and was also diagnosed with bruised bones. Naturally, she took time off from competing to focus on her recovery and fans can’t wait to see what Shiffrin’s has in store to proclaim her emphatic return to action. However, due to the injury, the 28-year-old has decided to skip the downhills this time at the World Cup.
But fret not, there will be enough venues for her to achieve her milestone 100th win in WC races. While she won’t be competing at the season-opener in Solden, Austria, on October 26, Mikaela Shiffrin will be entering Slalom at the second stop of the 2024/25 FIS Ski World Cup. After Levi, the skier will head to Austria to compete at Gurgl Slalom. Her next stop will take her back home to fans in the USA on November 30 for a Giant Slalom as well as Slalom. Sitting out the next Canadian location, Mikaela will have the pleasure of deciding whether to participate at the famous Beaver Creek downhill course on December 14 and 15.
Shiffrin will once again race the four next slalom events at Semmering (Dec 29), Kranjska Gora (Jan 4), Flachau (Jan 14), and Courchevel (Jan 30) before the 2025 FIS Ski World Championships give the World Cup a break between February 4 and 16 in Saalbach, Austria. A week after the Championships conclude, the Colorado native will compete in another round of Giant Slalom and Slalom in Sestriere, Italy (Feb 22, 23) followed by the same events at Are, Sweden (Mar 8, 9). After that, it’s straight to the season final in Sun Valley, Idaho (Mar 22-27). So where can you follow her around halfway across the world?
Never miss a beat of the action
In countries on both sides of the pond, fans will be able to watch Mikaela Shiffrin dishing out the best skiing extravaganza known to mankind. The Warner Bros.
