Legends keep winning no matter what, and so does Mikaela Shiffrin. The US Alpine Skiing legend already has the highest number of World Cup wins, and yet continues to aim for more. After winning the 89th at Levi despite injury, the 3x Olympian once again showed her brilliance at the Kellington Race.

The 2023 AUDI FIS Alpine Ski World Cup has been in full flow since October. After successful events at two venues, the skiing World Cup shifted to Kellington. With several world-class skiers in contention, Mikaela Shiffrin once again stole the show through a brilliantly controlled run.

Earlier in Levi, Mikaela Shiffrin suffered a crash during training and hurt her knee. She competed in the whole event with a bruised knee. Shiffrin admitted that the injury affected her performance a little, but she feels better now. Playing with a bruised knee, Shiffrin was able to secure victory against Petra Vlhova at Levi, New Zealand.

Shiffrin continued her good form from Levi and produced controlled runs down the hill. The US Ski Team praised Shiffrin’s efforts, giving her a shoutout on Instagram.A masterclass by @mikaelashiffrin at Killington today.” The 2018 Olympics Giant Slalom Champion recently completed her 89th World Cup win in Levi after beating the Slovakian skier Petra Vlhova.

With 89 World Cup victories already in her bag, Mikaela Shiffrin continued her pursuit of 100 wins at the Kellington. However, she wouldn’t have expected to be in the position she was after the first round. The 28-year-old was placed 5th, but soon enough in the second, Shiffrin once again proved why she is considered the best.

Shiffrin finishes on the podium 

Mikaela Shiffrin boasts the highest-ever world cup victories. Yet, she continues to add more under her hat. Shiffrin recently completed her 89th win at the AUDI FIS Alpine Ski World Cup in Levi. After being left behind a couple of times by Petra Vlhova, luck finally came to Shiffrin’s rescue as Vloha suffered a crash. Geared up once again, Shiffrin finished at the top to continue the century pursuit.

After a week-long break, Shiffrin was aiming to repeat her heroics and secure the 90th. After finishing 5th in the first round, Shiffrin redeemed herself and produced a spectacular run. However, it wasn’t enough as the American finished in 3rd place, securing a podium finish. Lara Gut-Behrami finished at the top followed by Alice Robinson at the 2nd.
